What does Voyant mean? Why is the company named Voyant? Voyant is a French word, meaning a “soothsayer” or “prophet”. It derives from the verb voir (present participle voyant), which literally means “to see”.

The founders of Voyant used to run a large revenue cycle management company (RCM), aka medical billing company. After building it and then selling it to a private equity firm doing a national roll up of billing companies and software, we weren’t sure what to do with ourselves. We had spent a lot of time and money working to solve billing problems with data and systems when we ran that medical billing company and we thought we could help others solve these same difficult challenges.
