Our Name

What does Voyant mean?  Why is the company named Voyant? Voyant is a French word, meaning a “soothsayer” or “prophet”. It derives from the verb voir (present participle voyant), which literally means “to see”.

This meshes perfectly with our mission, which is to help people see. To know what is happening. To be able to determine what is coming and to know where to go and how to get there.  Using data.

So many talk about a “data-driven culture”. We are not only living it, but teaching it. And delivering it!

The founders of Voyant used to run a large national revenue cycle management company (RCM), aka medical billing company. After building it and then a merger backed by private equity (that company became Coronis Health), we weren’t sure what to do with ourselves. We had spent a lot of time and money working to solve billing problems with data and systems we built when we ran that medical billing company and we thought we could help others solve these same difficult challenges.
